Kwik Fit 19" RFT prices - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

For the few of you out there like me that are happy with/tolerate the bridgstones, worth checking out the Kwik Fit 'book and pay online now' are only charging £202 for fronts, £237 for rears. Usual OEM 19" sizes of 225/35 and 255/30. So thats a full set for under £900.

Cocked the front price up, £157 for a non rft bridgestone so not that cheap afterall!!

hope they last a bit longer than the road ones!! i bet the pit crews have to keep an eye on the inner wear!

It's over to Pirelli next year.

BTW, would you really take a nice BMW into a Kwik Krap tyre bay?
The monkeys around here would probably cut RFTS off with an angle grinder...

Have used them a few times too. Once got them to swap over a rear tyre on my M3's 19s to a new rim (I kerbed one!). Three of them worked on it including the manager and I even heard him say be careful with that rim to the other 2 lads. Always found them very amenable. Oh and they didn't even charge me to do it!

As they say "You can't get cr@pper than a quick-fit fukc-wit"!!

However, i have to use them as they are our fleet approved tyre joint, they are actually really good in my local shop in Bristol, having said that, i fear getting a flat out on the road and having to use a random one as i've had some really poor experiences with them in the past.

Like everywhere it depends on the lad fitting them. My mate is getting 4 new tyres for his GTR at over £1100 for the set at Kwik Fit. He reckoned this was miles cheaper than Nissan.

Yes it will be a lot cheaper as told by a bloke who owns the fast Datsun. Talk about screwing the customer after they've bought the car.

No probs. with my local KwikFit here either. Very respectful with my Porsche wheel, but I did sort of jokingly inform him before hand that if he valued his bollocks he won't damage it. He said there's no way he would damage it as he was on a promise that night with his newish girlfriend........the others started laughing and told me he was dreaming and it'll be a wank as usual

Love the banter around my way.

Wonder what the Pirelli RFT's will be like then?

Watch Kwik Fits online prices, when you get there they add on disposal and balancing.

Yes he did Paul, but Paul (pjs) was on about the offer on Bridgstones as he's happy with RFT's and that new bloke FPO with the new white 335d, his is shod with Pirellis P Zero RFT's.

Well, I have taken my nice BMW to Kwikfit "around here" and have had no problems whatsoever. I guess it's the same as with any business, some will be perceived worse/better than others depending on personal experience.

I can't fault one of my local Kwikfits when I needed a new rear in a hurry (nail diagonally in the side wall) and 2 fronts. They offered a great service and confirmed what pressures I was running rather that guessing it was what BMW dictate (I'm running 0.2 bar over the recommended to get more life out of them).

In contrast had my other rear changes at just-tyres as they was the cheapest. When it went in they said my 2 fronts where wearing un-evenly and marked them as Average even thought I only had them changed 2 months before and my car has been in for service and they said they was 100% a week before.

Took one guy about 20mins to get the old tyre off, he cut his knuckle, swore like a nutter, then took 2 of them to get the new tyre on the RIM... lesson learnt there. I agree with what BrianR has said its just how they are perceived based on experience, you get good visits and you get bad ones, people only really mention the bad ones unfortunately in majority of cases.
