Really nice microfiber cloths here. Nicer and cheaper than what you get at some of these websites that are constantly touted here.

What % polyamide are they?

Do they have tags on them?

80% polyester, 20% polymide.

Yes, they have tags on them but they are nicely stitched all around the edges.

while some clothes are def overpriced nicer clothes are generally 30% polyamide.

Those looks like they'd be good for door jamb and wheel duty, but i'll stick with the higher quality ones for my paint.

Actually you can get them right now for $6 off that price with the Costco coupon.

Great for jambs, wheels, engine compartment, and windows but would NOT use them on body panels.

Great price for what you get. I've been using them for years.

low % ployamide = not as soft as higher quality towels
tags = can cause micro scratches over time
cheap = likely uses cheap stitching which may cause micro scratches over time

For my paint I have a few really nice towels (I can feel the difference) that I use; all tagless and 30% polyamide.

I would def use those ones from costco for door jam and utility purpose though. no need to spend boatloads on towels that are gonna get trashed.

Tags come off. Fold up a towel as usual and it won't touch.
Stitching won't cause scratches. Dirt will.

I love using towels like this for correction jobs. Use once, throw away. I will use $10~$15 worth of towels on a single full correction job. I get awesome results and don't have a single problem with etching or scratches.

Imho, the attitude that you can't use cheap towels is over played. I do have my nice expensive towels that I use. But as long as you view these as throw aways, they do fine on prepped surfaces.

I will say, I like to use plush and ww towels when drying or just doing a wax. But once a car has been clayed, the surface is clean and there's not a need for a thick nap.

Just my opinion.

I disagree. I worked on the softest paint I've ever worked on and it left no marks at all(I have pictures if you're interested). What will leave marks is dirt. If the surface is void of dirt, you won't scratch. Where plush towels are the best for use is when there is still chance of there being dirt, say after a wash.

Ya know, some think a leaf blower will cause marring....I don't believe it. But to me, when I hear the fear over using cheaper towels on a properly prepped surface to removed polish, it sounds exactly the same.

(all of this based upon a 1-use throw away attitude)

I will agree to disagree.

I have this pack and use them all over the house. But never on the paint, because I have seen the yellow ones lint a lot on glass, and also the ones I got from Phil (DetailersDomain) seem more plush.

For me the issue is that some of the cheaper MF towels leave a lot of lint. Some don't, like the ones I've picked up from Target.

But good find! It's always nice to have a bunch of them, as everyone is saying, for door jambs, engine and I also use them to dry my rims.

I buy a bag or two of these every spring. The tags rip off very easily. I don't normally use them on the paint either, but they're great all purpose towels - wheels, engine, interior, jams, plastics, etc.
