Lawn mowers - anyone using an electric mower?

Want to go green, and not to worry about tune-ups....etc
anyone have an electric mower? how do they perform?

i do. it only work if you have a small lawn cause you need drag the power cable along. lol

i have one and my only complaint is having to fucking deal with the cord. fml it's a pain in the ass, but i'd rather deal with that than a gas mower

i think those are the "zero turn" mowers...they're control differently

garbage, complete garbage... those push spinning blade mowers are slightly better... sales guy at sears sold my grandmother on it over a gas powered mower... heavy, needs to be recharged, and not great with tall or thick grass. Gas powered mowers are the way to go...

Only get an electric if:

1) you have a small yard

2) you mow your lawn at least once a week (if you let it get too tall between cuts, most electric mowers dont have near the power that gas ones do, and thus its a PITA)

I think you got answers you're looking for. Corded ones suck, and overall they are less powerful from a cutting standpoint than gas ones. They are acceptable for small yards such as your own, as long as you don't let your grass grow out of control

#2 is only true if you get a powerful gas model. the weak one would just shutdown and you have to pull the cable to restart it like 20 times. Hate it.
