Thanks for being honest everyone.
Pinstripe it in Jet Black. The contrast might work. Subtle without being gaudy.

I don't think the M colors would look that good, but I do think pinstriping or a racing stripe could look good. You'd just have to get the right design. The 320si wtcc look alike that was posted a while ago pulled it off rather well.

Fer gawds sake, pinstripes are put on by dealers for 20 bucks so they can charge some rube $200-300 and more for them... they're absolute crap in most cases.

Stripes are acceptable if you have an Alpina or a WTCC replica :-)

I was just at the local dealer looking at a 2001 740. Its in beautiful condition, Black/Tan with nice deep lip rims, but for some reason there are two 'green' pinstripes from front to back??? If they were after clear coat I would be OK with it because they'd come off easy, but they are coated over...

I HATE pinstripes in all cases, no exceptions. They look so tacky, and just break up any clean look that you have going on IMO. I think they were cool back in '92, but so was vanilla ice so you really can't go by that. You don't like vanilla ice, do you?

not into pinstriping. pinstriping reminds me of american cars from the 80's.
