Free bump - how does the switch plate (piece with the M logo) come off and do you need to remove the bag to get access to it?

eye4speed,

In looking at mine and this DIY:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11825

I think you only need to remove the three torx screws and it comes off. I'd still disconnect the battery lead but I'm paranoid about the airbag. Best of luck!

Hey eye4speed,

I was looking in the DIY section for something else and I found that someone wrote up a nice DIY on it.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=243169

Pretty easy with no airbag removal needed.

For anyone considering this steering wheel setup, it adds a nice touch to the driving experience. I did this a while back and it's one of the best things I've done to my E90. Lastly, it's super-easy to swap out wheels. The DIY guide on here is easy to follow and to the point. Good luck with sale!

Still available?

I am interested in the setup. What year is it? Are there any dings in it?

Do you know if will fit a 328xit?

Thanks in advance.
