Works with the old Nav Unit.

I tested it in my old E90 05 Reg and it worked perfectly, all except you couldnt press down on it as that function only worked from 2007 onwards

Work well?

All the buttons function properly and work on all years, the wheel however only works from 2007 onwards cars which already have the free spinning wheel

If when you spin the idrive knob it spins freely when say looking through songs on the screen, then yes BUT if you have to hold the knob in place to keep the songs moving though then no.

Hope that makes sense!!

I'm guessing you'd need to change the whole centre piece?
