Painted Calipers!

I'm thinking I'd like to paint the calipers on my black car. Probably paint the stock calipers red on my black car... or maybe paint them black?

Please post pics of your painted calipers!

i painted mine black. i think it looks much cleaner then the oem metal. Red should be saved for brembo or some other high end brands. If you have OEM either paint them black or match them to the car ( depening on the color)

i think black is the only color that would look good if you dont have aftermarket wheels. red stands out too much and its not like your running on brembos

what might look good is a coat of silver paint over the calipers. they look a little raw from the factory.

Does painting your calipers really make your car stop faster? Like Brembos?

Personally, I hate the way that stock calipers look when they are painted red. They just look like a fake BBK. I think that if you paint them silver or black they will always look clean.

imho...

black or silver is fine for stock calipers. cleans up the look.

flashy colors like red or yellow look lame on stock calipers. those colors bring attention to the stock brakes when one shouldn't really want attention in that area.

Probably depends on what your wheels look like to be honest--but I think the red, or even yellow, looks very nice on a JB BMW.

I'm going to paint the calipers on my incoming Sapphire 335i red. Painted my son's calipers on his Silverstone (close in color to space gray) 350 Z red and they look great. I think if you have a wheel with an open spoke design, painting them black will improve the look but red will stand out.
