This is true, especially in the rear. The sedans have a few mm more space in the wheel wells. Also, the front fenders are metal in the sedan if I'm not mistaken.

You're right actually.
This is why VMR changed their rear offset to et33 on a 9.5" wheel because the et30 would rub on an e92. When they did the testing on the e90 everything was fine.

Yeah it's just easier to get into the back seats. They don't have to fold up the front seat and all that jazz.
