Question about date on dash?

Hello all,

I am very new to BMW ownership so forgive me if this is a lame question. I tried searching the forum threads to see if anyone posted info similar. No luck. When I start my car in the morning or whenever. I always get a date of 9/10 September 2010. My date and time is set correctly. Could this time that flashes briefly is the last date of service? I am curious. I looked in the manual and perhaps I am blind I could not find mention of it any where. Its just a question. Thanks all.

yes I think that's correct. did it have another symbol (car, spark plug, brake, oil...etc) above the date? If so then it's just the reminder when it should be taken in for maintenance. But many times dates aren't that accurate and you'll end up going to the dealer earlier if you drive often.
