Performance upgrade (ECU tune up ?? )
I am using e90 330i (auto transmission). Any suggestions for performance upgrade ? I'ved add sprint booster for throttle improvement already. Just think whether ECU upgrade is worth to do or not? If yes, any shop suggest ?
If no, any other suggestion on performance upgrade ? ( It seems that NA car is really hard to improve performance from my knowledge) |

Hey Potato Hing,
Go for the BMS Power Box while a few users in our HK Forum comment the torque curve on low rev is having nice impressive gain which can tell the difference significantly!! Here is the link and you can check for other users comment though... http://burgertuning.com/BMS_Power_Box.html By the way, take off yr Sprint Booster while this is something harm yr engine big time...this is old school technology which merely increasing the throttle angle to gain the power which result of horrible fuel consumption, overheat coolant + engine oil + transmission oil, shorten the life cylcle of yr hardwares such as yr electric controlling throttle and related parts......it is merely manipulating the duty cycle which is something not very wise to do it!!

Prince k: power to weight ration change - more power used to move the weight so engine has to work lesser.... This theory was backed by kc racing My theory: Because I don't step down as much as I used to step on e pedal for power!

Hey Ken,
For BMS Power-Box, the installation is kind of easy which is merely plug and play w/o nothing complicated....Were you looking at the installation guide for our N54 Engine's JB3/JB4 installation guide?? Yeah, that one will be pain of the neck for our rides but not yours though!! Let me know if you need DP Fix coz I have one on hand which is no use for me now after I upgrade fm JB3 to JB4!!
