run-flat tires

After you drive through something sharp like a nail, how long does it take for our e90 tpms to sense a flat?

cuz today after 10 minutes leaving my garage, the tpms came on. I don't think i ran through anything though.

I have gotten 2 tires replaced already over the last month all due to running into sharp objects and now i've got another one up an coming.

I checked my tires and yes, there is a nail on the rear driver side tire of my car. I just don't know if i drove through it today or some other day.

i think it goes off when the system notices a differance in the revolution speed of the flat wheel compared to the other 3.

If it's a nail, and the pressure hasn't been down to nothing for a long period, you have teh *chance* of repairing the tire. If the nail is not towards either edge, it's just a regular tire, have it fixed. The Stealership will NOT repair it, but the manufacturer's shops, or most other ptire places, will. Something like it has to be more than an inch from the sidewall.
