BMW performance brake probs

I have had some BMW performance brakes fitted to my 330d saloon. They don't seem overly good. i.e. they don't stop me any quicker than the standard ones. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Could it be there isn't enough brake fluid in the system?

A few people said they are not all that over the bigger oem.
Maybe they were right?

Ultimately the limit will be set by the grip of the tyres,
and road tyres in this weather aint gonna be good

Maybe they need some heat in them to work at their best?

how long ago did you have them fitted?

Brand new or used parts?

What pads, what fluid?

If new have you bedded them in and heat cycled them if required?

Amount of fluid wont matter, you will have ample stroke and you are moving a very tiny amount of fluid about.

More info required.

I certainly find the brakes on the E82 better than my old E91, but taking aside the couple of hundred kilos in weight that went with the change I don't think you would say that they are startlingly better.

What I have noticed it that they are more progressive and have more feel than the standard brakes.

Mine are just fine.......mind you the standard 330d brakes aren't bad by any stretch of the imagination.

They are brand-new fitted by a BMW dealer. I have to really jam the pedal for decent braking. That's why I thought it might be the fluid.

brand new brakes need a few 100mile to bed in. i'd imagine the benefits of these brakes are less fade due to heat so u can rag them around more before limit is reached. also better 'feel' as mentioned

Something doesn't sound quite right Richy.

Mine are as progressive as you like, no jamming on the pedal required.

I'd get it back into the stealer and voice your concerns.

Let them bed in, especially before jamming them on if you haven't already done so?

They will get better after around 3-400 miles of normal driving use.
