Hello Everyone
Hi new to the forum here
Just recently got a new 2010 E90 328i w/ Msport package. It is a nice car overall but i have a few concerns that i was hoping you guys can help. 1. Is there a engine temp gauge? (i have the idrive) 2. My xenons seem to be vibrating? (have a lexus and a very stiff s2000 to compare) 3. Is my rear passenger door ratteling? 4. For the LCI, would you recommend lux? Im sure ill have more questions over time. Thanks for reading and yes i did search. -M |

1. On the dash brother, there is nothing digital within the iDrive....
2. Mine don't vibrate at all, even when I hit bumps, I would get that checked out. 3. I don't know if your rear passenger door is rattling, is it?!?! 4. I don't own an LCI but if they make mtec angel eyes for them I would go that route. Cheers!!!

I thought the 328i had an mpg gauge instead of a temp gauge? Also the vibrating headlights are a hit and miss thing. I've had 3 E9x's with them and they have all done it, some worse than others. Dealer says it's normal, doesn't really bother me. The car I have now isn't as bad but the one i had before this was AWFUL.

Thanks for the reply, yes the cluster have fuel gauge and mpg gauge, i went through the menus and still cant find a engine temp gauge. Ive read that some have seen soome rattles from the read deck and door, but this is kinda funny how this new car is doing it :P

By xenons vibrating I'm assuming you mean when you go over bumpy roads right? Since the xenon's auto-level and turn they do move when going over bumpy surfaces so its normal. They aren't just locked in place.

yes, over bumpy road, even the smallest uneven road seems to cause it. Actually sometimes i even notice it when i first start the car at night while the headlight are calibrating themselves.
Where is the tire iron and wheel nut? haha, where can buy one? |

There was a fix for the shaking headlights, theres a special bracket to install behind the housing. This is for an e90. Im not sure if it will work for your year but just throwing it out there...

While the 335i has an oil temp gauge, there is no temp gauge in the 328i.
Although BMW claims that the motor is warmed up after 60~90 seconds of moderate driving, most of us wait at least 5 miles or so before exceeding 3,000 rpm. Another way to tell if the oil is warm is to check the oil level through the OBC - if you get a reading, the motor is warm. Tom |
