As stated- Shield is a protection wax, although PTFE will NOT provide protection to a paint surface, so you'll have to rely on the wax to provide it.

Concorso is one of the better Concours d’élégance carnauba waxes, beading has to be seen to be believed

Only if the PTFE bonds with the paint surface, and unless Teflon® is applied at 700.0F(this is hot enough that your car's paint (let alone your car) wouldn't survive) and a dissolving chemical C8 is used, it is not a viable ingredient, and is therefor 100 percent useless in protecting the paint's finish."

Never tried the hood as a water slide, and I hope my grand children don't read this and get ideas
