Anyone have any idea as to how to build a Homemade punching bag stand???

Dumb question, but you want an actual stand (as in standalone frame/structure) or do you just want to hang it from the ceiling? Some people actually interchange the terms.

I used a chain to hang one from a beam in my backyard

i heard if you hang up the bag with the screw eyes you need nut and bolt to support it on a beam and i cant access that part of the beam. So im thinkin bout buikding a stand.

Do you have access to an I-beam where you're looking to put hang your bag? What about wall mounts? There are fixed and swivel mounts available if you bolt into a wall (wood stud or brick/concrete).
