Seatbelt Lock-up Problem - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Has anyone else experienced this lock-up problem? It happens like 1% of the time so it's hard to pinpoint. I remember it happened sometimes in my 2000 Civic as well. Is this normal for cars in general?

When you get into your car and go to pull on the seatbelt to put it on, there is resistance. I think I may have pulled it too quickly but there was one time where I was pulling it slow and it still locked up. Could be by chance.

got this problem twice this week. I have to push back the seatbelt to get it to unlock. Just annoying!!! I might take it back to the dealer if it continues.

Dang.....that just happened to me this morning....
at first....I thought I had closed my door on the
seatbelt....I gave it a few more pulled.....then
SWOOOSH.....back to normal.
