i saw that hpf install bolt on and looks nice and real not too big and not to high as most air goes from lower grilles, and as other ic are very high and the bumper and the support blocks majority of the intercooler top and bottom and HPF ic looks really good designed

Correct you are my friend, Those huge fmic's also block the radiator more than the HPF fmic does, which can result in higher water temps...which translates into higher oil temps which this car is already plagued from...why would you block the radiator from keeping water temps down? If it translates into higher oil temps and your car goes into limp mode because you were running it too hard.....are you gonna be able to use those couple of extra hp you gained from the fmic if you are in limp mode? To me, mods arent only about a number, its about functionality, USEABLE numbers, and most of all....safety.

STETT, AA, big tom, and cxracing all have something in common, you let me know when you figure it out...

bigger doesnt mean better

"the reason is that the air flow will go through the section we designed from top to bottom but the thickness will cool it since i twill have constant airflow through the intercooler" by HPF

yes you are correct, but look at the picture of all of them. They dont look REALLY SIMILAR to you? Look at that...then look at the price diff. in all of them, kinda crazy right. SOMEBODY is making hand over fist on these things.

I see what your saying, i dont perfer the AA,Stett, etc. over the HPF/AMS/Helix, but just another option to consider.

IMO, HPF, AMS, HELIX are at the top of the game on the IC end.

I agree, I was just trying to point out that AA, STETT, bigtom, and cxracing are the practically the same IC, but the price differences are absurd. Lets just throw a label on it and double the price. I am a fan of both AA and STETT on almost all of their OTHER upgrades. This one, I feel they have greatly overlooked bc the largest gains outside of a chip are FMIC and DP's. Would you want to be slacking on a key component of your car's HP/tq and driveability? I sure dont...One last thing to think about, the FMIC and intakes are your only sources of air, everything after these components(downpipes, exhaust, turbos, and most importantly your ENTIRE engine) are affected by the fmic's and intake's performance...Just something to think about

I aswell agree there Penn.. Im always a mix and match type of guy usually when it comes to performance. N54 is no different, sometimes there is not just one company that makes everyting great for a engine.

OP the HPF, HELIX, AMS are all great, and most opinion will come in form of who has what. But overall the performance of these i would say are close to similar across the board. Connections from the IC to the OEm piping would be the biggest difference between them which would be a matter of what what you like more.

I've installd my HPF yesterday and that was a big pain in the ass so much trimming , however AMS and HELIX probably require as much , HPF is very nice but I wouldn't mind AMS or HELIX either, top 3 fmic's for sure , now I wouldn't doubt BIG TOM either and if you have a little time on your hands that's probably the best bang for the buck, fuck the haters, it looks great and performs great.
