REVO did the tuning for my car.... at idle the MAF works but once you give any throttle it cuts the MAF reading. my software was a bit different than most peoples, they developed their big turbo software off my car and the turbo setup i was runing. I never had any CELs

however guys with just simple stage 1 flash with REVO software are using a BOV with no problems at all.

you have the gt28rs ?
revo are the guys from apr (or am i wrong) ?

if you blow to air, a chipped 1.8t car will always run to rich with a maf

If you check with VAg com / obd 2 software and look at the lambda value.
You never get a steady signal.

That's not the way it should be done

Nah REVO and APR are two seperate companies

yea it does run a bit rich if not tuned for it...on mine the maf would cut under throttle.

Did you ever do a dyno run ?

Here in Europe the get about 430PS/440 NM TQ out of a MODIFIED 1.8T
with K16 charger

http://www.ame-racing.de/dragracer/galerie-neu.shtml

I read you find your tuned 335i faster.
I think that's impressive.

I'l wait with tuning it.. the siemens MSD80 OLS806 is cracked in a few days and then a proper chip wil give the
same result i think.

Also improved diverter are ready in a few days they are made by stramosphere especially for the 335i (hyperboost valves

My a4 is about 320-330whp and about the same wheel tourqe...

the 335 for sure feels faster, even when i was on C16 race gas in my A4. the 335 i think will beat it hands down no problem.

the DV's that are on the 335 are the same exact DV's that come equipped on Audis... .both bosch DV's.

I think the FOrged DV's will work fine on the 335... should be the same exact thing.

The amount of misinformation on here regarding turbo's in general makes me want to hit my head into a wall sometimes.

Most definitely the only way to stop the M3 contrversey is to have a 335i with over 400hp and tq to the wheels maybe even 500hp and tq to the wheels to prove it..............bigber turbos and intercooler....uh oh.........

No matter how much power, suspension mods, etc. you put in a 335, there will always be the diehards that insist that the M is superior.

People just need to feel justified in their purchases/decisions. If they admitted that the 335 was equal to or superior to an M, then they would lose the sense of justification (or superiority for the label hounds...) for their purchase. People just don't like being wrong (or being told they are wrong)

The reality is that the M3 is a tuned version of the 3 series. It is simply tuned by the factory instead of the aftermarket.

It is quite possible that an aftermarket tuner could turn the 335 into a car that is superior to the M3 in every measurable category. The tuners don't have to worry about warranties and the rules that govern the auto manufacturers. That still doesn't mean that some M3 owners wouldn't insist that the M3 was superior.

Although it isn't out yet, I am sure that the M3 will be a fantastic car and its owners will be very pleased. BMW has a nice history of making outstanding products and I am sure this will be more of the same

I wanted to join, just because our valves were brought up in this thread, but also to let you guys know that we're working on direct-replacement valves for the 335i application already.

We've purchased OEM valves as samples to build replacement components as a few things on them differ from anything in our existing valve lineup.

Our initial plan is to offer recirculating valves only, but since the engine management of the 335i is MAP-based, it would be possible to run atmospheric valve without any significant issue, but I'm not going to commit to offering anything atmospheric just yet.

We've looked at a 335i briefly one day a couple weeks ago, and we're keen to work on a few other parts for it, but not having a car of our own will make that fairly difficult. We'll do what we can.

We're currently finishing up the development on another project, but as soon as it's finished, we'll be working on this.

I'll keep you all posted.
