I PM'ed the forum member who may be able to track the train my car goes on.
So in the next few days we should be able to tell how long from ship to train, and I'm hoping the scheduled arrival in Ottawa.

I had painted reflectors from IND three weeks before I picked up the car in Europe, and a matching keyhole delete. I just didn't bother taking them to Munich with me.

Hey guys/gals,
I need a place to detail my car during the summer (I'd say on going since bird poops don't take holidays these days). I don't have a garage.
I have all the tools and I can help removing scratches, etc in exchange of a place to wash and to detail and possibly 4 gallons of water (to wash).

People like to complain and rant about bad dealer experiences, so I thought I'd post about a good one. Took my car in the an "in-between" oil change last week (plus the HPFP/injector/software recall, though I've never had a problem with it) and also figured since it was in I'd get them to swap my wheels. Anyway, they told me the oil change would be $132 plus taxes and $54 + for the wheel swap. So I pick up the car that afternoon, and the bill is only $140 something including taxes. I quickly signed and escaped, and then inspected the bill at home. It seems despite the quote on the bill of $132+ for the oil change, they only charged me $50 some odd dollars plus taxes for it. So either my SA did me a favour (first time dealing with him) or it was a mistake, but I scored a discount oil change. Oh yeah, this was at Elite, for those keeping score.

I am NOT doubting your analysis of the invoice, however, it seems a bit strange.
Did they really do an oil/filter change OR it was a mistake and you got it done free?

As far as I know, Elite's charge for an oil/filter change is $138.00.
(1) 11-42-7-566-327 - Oil Filter-$10.00
(7) 92-33-2-201-500 - 5W30 Synt Bulk - 54.11
Waste Disposal - $6.00
Labor - $67.89
BTW I have my own opinion about the two dealers, but that is for another thread.

I think Alex doesn't get as excited about emails and calls from me as you. On your 5th BMW you as likely to be calling to place another order, while I'm obviously just calling to bother him about a sale he's already made and I paid for long ago.
