Ugh .. no luck finding a decent beater yet, so I put my winters on my 335i today... suck suck suck suck suck!

They look horrible, have no grip on days like today, and the ride is far too soft & spongy.

I had to turn off my meth, and put the JB4 on low boost just to get some traction on dry roads.

I'm moving somewhere where I can stay on summers year round!

Yes, we all have to wear our winter boots, just like little kids.....and we can't run around at breakneck speed in the winter either.

Get over it. Sheesh.

Sooner I can get this thing off the road the better.

But why does everybody in Calgary seem to think they can sell their rusted out unsafe vehicle with a broken motor, bald tires, and no brakes for $2,000 .. lol. Back home we'd get something safe and working for half that!

^ +1 bigup hosted a great meet this summer and is a really nice guy. He brought everyone food a had an awesome bbq. Really nice guy. Its a really good benefit to have forum members like this who will go out of their way for the community.

I don't disagree at all. Just didn't like the whiny comments.

No offense intended - but we all live in Alberta and we all know what &*^%$# winter is like.

Speaking of which, got a (quick) chance to try out my new Blizzak LM-25s in Mount Royal while cutting through on my way to work on the snowy day this week - I'm pretty impressed with their work on the icy sections. Not enough for a real workout, but decent. And they're not too sucky on dry road - a little wobbly on a real high speed turn, but they still stick.

Anyhoo - cheers to all.

Didn't mean to come across as whiny .. even though I have been known to have the odd rant. I've been here for 10+ years, and am still not over winter; I probably never will be.

If I had my way, I'd live somewhere nice and warm, but my Calgarian wife won't let me (yet!).

As for winter meet.. at least I'd get to see other BMW's covered in salt rather than just getting upset about mine!

A conversation/rant, whatever it may be, is better than no one posting at all in this section. The BMW group is pretty tight in Alberta, so its nice if every one can get along.
