Wow, I do want sooo much. In fact, I could swap it for the missus car.....looks identical

Do you reckon she would notice, just lovely V8 noise and 200 more horses to explain away over a diesel

and you thought your extended warranty was expensive - wouldn't like to see the quote for this one .

What's the deal on the BMW extended warranty. If I buy a car on eBay can I get the an extended warranty as long as it's got a FBMWSH? Or is it not that convenient? There is a bloke that lives near here that buys really nice cars at auction and sells them on Bay. I'd be seriously tempted if i could get a warranty.

My understanding is that it's only offered once your AUC warranty is due to expire (i.e. it's been checked over & sold via a BMW Dealer & 12 months have passed). Once it's out of the system you're stuffed (unless of course someone trades it back to a dealer & you buy it from a dealer).

I think with Porsche you can get a Dealer to give your car a once over (if bought out of the Dealer network) then get offered it's own warranty again but not with BMW.

That's my understanding at least...

I suspected that might be the case or who would ever buy from a dealer. I asked Nissan the same question and they told me to Foxtrot Oscar.

You can get the warranty if you buy the car within its initial 3 year warranty, then so long as its registered on the BMW system with you as owner you will get a letter when the manufacturers warranty is expiring. If the car is already out of warranty when you buy and its not bought via a dealer it seems you are stuffed altho can't see Mondial refusing your money if you later want to take out a BMW warranty.

You can buy a warranty now even if the warranty has expired, they do charge you more and you can't claim in the first 60 days or something, to stop people from taking it out to cover and existing issue.

Also, if the car is coming up to 60k miles do it on a monthly basis as the price then doesn't go up, if you do it annually they ask you the mileage and if you have then one over 60000 you get charged a lot more.
