E90 Front Brake Question

I couldn't find anything by searching, maybe my keywords were off....
Hopefully someone can shed light on something I saw today.

I was replacing all my control arms and I noticed that the driver side caliper easily moved in-out. It looks like the caliper piston retracted after sitting overnight. I got in my car and pressed the brake and it went back to the pads resting back on the rotor. I've since than driven the car to test the new suspension and all is fine. Just wondering if anyone has seen this... Maybe a bad brake hose?

Thanks!
