i want these for my kids!

I'm confused now!

If the seat back is rigid, then when you brake gently the little 'un will lean (more so if they are asleep) forwards out of the seat as the seatbelt unwinds, but in our case the seat back moves with her, keeping her inside the seat wings.

My concern is that the belts only lock under harder braking, so for normal braking (and nodding off) the seat & child are effectively 'loose' and not restrained.

If the kids feet are not on the floor, then how do they brace themselves properly against the braking?

Lol, the joys eh!

Got to be honest mate, I hadn't given this much thought - but then mine is a year older (3.5yrs)....

I assume the small incline helps, plus maybe they can use the armrests to keep steady? Mine always seems to be sitting fully back in the seat when I have looked back.....

Yeh, maybe I'm just thinking about it too much!!

As it's 'new' I've really been analysing it.

I suppose I should trust in the top crash test ratings and great feedback from users?

She seems happy enough though - except its dropped her down from the group 1 seat height - now she can barely see out of the windows!!

does anywhere do a booster only seat with isofix rather than having to buy the whole chair. ? its for my 9 and half year old daughter who is quite tall.
and to fit the isofix of my coupe?

Not sure, probably not, because the isofix on a high back booster is only really there to aid in side impact restraint of the whole chair.

With just the booster base in use there will be no side impact loading on the base.

So I can't see anyone making a isofix booster base only.

@335 diesel I am in complete agreement with you on the rear facing seat issue. I too have a puma 110 XS, just curious if you are able to fit the multi tech in there too or if you chose/were recommended a different rear facing class 1 child seat for it? We are in Scotland and very few child seat retailers are informed on this topic
Thanks!

Garage List
Lady - this is where my argument collapses! The Multi-tech simply will not fit in the Landy! So we use a Britax forward facing Evolva and drive everywhere like a granny in it! The Multi-tech is definitely quite a "deep" rear facer. Some are more compact.

Some rear facer might fit but we already had the Evolva. There's not much room behind the drivers seat though!

Hi all - sorry to reopen an old thread but I'm just in the process of buying a new 3 series (due mid May!)

I have a 3 1/2 year old and thought this is the perfect time to buy her a new car seat... she's over 15kgs and too be honest I don't want the tatty old one on my new leather seats!!

I'm looking at the Britax Kidfix, Concord Transformer T or Jane Montecarlo Plus - they're all ISOFIX and have great reviews. My main question is, will any of these fit properly in the front passenger seat (M Sport Seats)? The chair will mainly be used in the back, but on occasion over the last few years I've needed to put my daughter in the front and I would like to buy a seat that meets all my needs.. and safely.

Thanks in advance

If it helps I've put in my Msport int he front both a Jane Exo and a Recarro your sport with no problem. The bases are narrow enough not to press on the sides of the seats that are raised. Though I woulds till use a seat protector to avoid long term marking

Thanks for coming back to me...

Just been looking at the Recaro, based on the comments above, they look spot on! Shame I never saw them 2 years ago, I wouldn't have to be choosing a new one now.. 9months to 12 years, can't go wrong. Would like ISOFIX though
