How do you send Google Maps links to your BMW?

Hi, I have a 2011 335 with navi and idrive etc. I've heard you can send Google Maps links to your BMW? How? What address do you email the link to?

Thanks

Right click

Send
Car (make sure email address is in ALL CAPS--the email address you registered your BMW account with) and you have registered w BMW assist. You have to push the button in the car and talk to someone at least once.

Yup, love this feature, use it almost every other day.

One cool note: If you're logged in to your gmail/google account while using google maps, it will save BMW/Email on the "send to car" the next time you use it, this way all you have to press is send.

Not supported. In fact, if you use the 'web' version of Maps on a mobile device, it's pretty painful. It would be a very handy though, because sending info directly to the car from the computer is the best thing since sliced bread.

Does this feature require the $199/year subscription of BMW Assist called the "Convenience Plan"?

You just tell them your address and it gets used I think. The mail comes in to them with your address on it and they forward it to your car from their records. You can pick any address to give them you want.

If you subscribe to the Convenience Plan, you can hit the button, tell them where you want to go and they'll send the directions to your car for you. Its's pretty nice while you're on the road.

What amazes me is that people pay for things and have no idea what they are getting in exchange
