Thanks, but I won't take it for free. Too much bad buzz about said product online.

Autozone: 5 quarts of Mobile 1 plus the filter for $30! If the filter is $10 then each quart is only $4. Advance auto runs these types of ads too. They normally don't have the filter in stock so they give me any other filter that fits my car. YMMV

Long time GC 0W-30 User

This sale has me moving to M1 - 52 QT Shash -- but I do have 3 German Cars that use LL-01 so good stuff at 5k per change.

Over at bobistheoilguy, all the euro guys sear by the mobil 1 0w-40, it's the only Porsche a40 oil and it's factory fill on 911 turbos.

I myself am waiting for another castrol sale, the 0w-30 euro formula is some of the best oil you can buy. It's BMW ll-01 and has a whole bunch of VW/Benz certifications that I can't remember right now. It's also made in Germany which is cool.

Many places should be putting up their "old stock" of Mobil 1 or other oils on sale because a new standard for motor oil is just around the corner coming this year, "API SN/ILSAC GS-5". The current standard is API SM/ILSAC GS-4.

Anyway, $5 is still a good price.

Agreed. But bear in mind that 85F is a hot day in Germany, and they get maybe a couple dozen. Being in So. Cal. you might benefit from a 40 weight oil. I noticed a smoother idle in the summer compared to the factory 5W30.
