I don't have a pic, but supposedly the knob has a leatherette wrapping on the part where you turn it.

Its a rubber surrounding, and yes it will fit.

There are a few on German Ebay for sale. They just pop right off. I popped mine off and replaced it with the 5 series ones that Logan made.

Thank God they put rubber around it, in my 330 while in the sun that thing gets hotter than hell!

Yo... I have a 2007 335i E90 and it DOES have the rubber around it. Is that new for '07?

I called the dealership...they gave me 2 part numbers but they didn't know which one would be the new knob with the grip.

Here are the part numbers they gave me:

165826945234 - $36.49
165826979364 - $24.86

I'm guessing is the more expensive one

The new knob is on all 2007 E9x's equipped with idrive... Its not just an E92 knob...

It matches the new dials on the climate control as well... They also have the rubber around the ring....

well I called ganley, and the rep gave me a third part #:

6582697265 - $26.89

that's looking at an e92 idrive nob.

so at this point I don't know which one to order.
any thoughts?

Okay here we go...
The 364 has a Brighter Matte finish, and the 365 has a Glossy Darker finish. But as you can see they both have the rubber surround. Price is $16.38 each
