What does this mean?

I have this light constantly on and I am wondering what it is? I thought it might be low tire pressure but it still didnt go off when I put air in and drove. The second pic is when i go to the service history menu.

Is there a reference to all the icons?

Thanks

1st one TPMS - Tire pressure Monitoring System - You may have lost some air in one of your tires
2nd one Front brakes? Geez, 1400 miles only?

1st - tire pressure. You need to reset it after putting air in the tire.
2nd - brake pads...

OP has 97K miles total on the car. 1400 miles is what left with the front brake pad before it is considered unsafe.

So let me help a little it here. First off it helps if you would indicate what E90you have and what year it is. BMW changed the flat tire monitior system/hardware in 2007. The old style system (2006) just used the wheel speed sensors to detect the rotational difference between the two wheels on the same axle. When one tire has several pounds less of air pressure than the other tire the system detects a tire is going flat. The 2007 system uses actual air pressure monitors inside the wheel to detect pressure. What I don't know is if the old style system indication is different for non-Idrive cars and Idrive cars because my 2006 325i is non Idrive. The 2007 system with Idrive indicates which tire is low, but I'm not sure what the old system does with an Idrive car. But in either case, one of your tires has low pressure in it. You need to check all four tires and set the correct pressure in them and then reset the tire pressure monitior. If you've added air to the tires but not reset the system, the light will stay on until you reset it.

The second indicator is the CBS is telling you that the front brakes are close to needing replacement. Now, what you need to understand is the 1,400 miles it is showing is just an estimate and not an actual mileage of when the brake pads will be worn out. When the brake pads do wear out, a second light on the dash, up in the location where the little seat belt indicator is on (in the picture you posted), will illuminate and stay on until the pads are replaced.

See Flat Tire Monitor (FTM) in your owner's manual.

STOP IT! are you really suggesting the OP read the owner's manual?

Please...

So once all the poop comes out of your bung-hole, look for the toilet paper holder and roll off a few squares of paper and wipe the area...

oops, wrong forum...

you need to initialise the system after adding air
1. start the engine but don't drive.
2.at the left of the steering wheel on the indicator stick u have a button that you move up and down move the button until u see the flat tyre indicator accompanied with the word init
3.press the bc button to confirm your choice
4.now press bc button for 5 sec and ur done
