Replacing SE steering wheel for M-Sport

Hi , If i wanted to replace a 2008 model SE steering wheel For the M-Sport version ,

I think I read the airbag is a straight swap .

Mine has paddles do these come with the wheel or do they have to be swapped

If i buy a M-Sport wheel can i take the paddles off my SE wheel and fit them or do i need to be looking for a M-Sport wheel with paddles

TIA

Pretty sure the backs of the wheels (with / without paddles) are different, so you need to get the specific 'paddle ready' wheel.

This swedish ebay shop is well known and has been selling these for ages....you could ask them a question, see if they can help.

See here how this wheel has specific cut outs - other M Sport wheels don't have this...

If you have the standard Sport wheel, yes the airbag is a straight swap

No, they will have to be swapped over from your old wheel

You need to be looking for the M-Sport wheel with Paddles, this one is the one you want, you will use your existing Airbag, Paddles and cover/multifunction buttons

unless buying a new m sport wheel with paddle cut outs they can be rare as hens teeth to get hold of!!

but yes the swap over is pretty simple.

Very easy job if you read the how to on here, I completed it easily.

You do need the Sport wheel as fitted to the SE rather than the standard SE wheel as the airbag on the Sport and the M Sport wheel are the same.
Do need the oje with paddle cut outs which are hard to get second hand, the Swedish guy may be your best option.
