Still Can't Get "Office" functions to work

I have a 2011 328 XDrive Touring built after the correct date (Sept) with Nav etc. I have the "Office" feature showing up on my screen but other than the ability to send Google maps to the car (which works great by the way), I am not able to access any personal emails from my BB Torch (running OS6) to the iDrive. Bluetooth calling works fine, but the only "emails" I see under "Messages" are the Google maps that I send.

Any thoughts?

Have you found any other member here with a Torch that have make it work with an Office feature? Because it is not part of the approved list of phones for Office.

Good question, I don't know. I just assumed that since the Torch is running OS6 and is the "newest" BB, it should work.

A quick search here and in the internetz shows that the Torch so far does not interact with the Ofiice mail/txt. Its Bluetooth does not support that data.

Good news is that the Combox can be software-updated beginning on 03/11 so there is a possibility that eventually all these software issues can be fixed on both ends.

Thanx for that. I did a bunch of searching on the Office functionality of the iDrive and (at least, thought) I saw lots of stuff about it working with OS6, but I must not have picked up on the fact that it doesn't play nice with the Torch.

I did a bunch of searching and only found reference to the Torch being compatible for BT with the car, but I have not found anything from BMW which confirms that the Torch BT does not support the data transfer required. Would you mind pointing out the link?

thanx
