taking car 335 in for service, pulled JB4. is that all?

I read on the site that they recommend I delete the hidden code, but how do I do that? I'm taking it in because it's missing, sputtering and running rough... I don't want to get whacked on my warranty.

The JB4 has a code clearing function in the interface. Read the codes first to see if you are throwing any misfire codes. The dealer does not do much to troubleshoot unless you have codes stored. Pop it back in, check and clear the codes and take it out.

I have no idea how to check/clear the codes. I installed it using the online instructions. I have no usb cable. Can I do it without it?

Heading to the dealer in the morning. I'll go reinstall it right now and hope someone here can help guide me through it as soon as I'm done.

When you have it back in, press the channel and volume down at the same time to go into config mode. Press the channel up once so speedo is at 10. Then press volume up twice so RPM is at 20. This will clear any codes. Then press channel down twice to exit config mode.

Go to N54tech.com and see the first thread in the forced induction section.

getting ready to do that now. I guess I didn't realize that "clear all codes" would clear the tuner code too.

I'm going to finish installing it, set it to map 0, clear the codes, then completely uninstall it...and I should be good.

Thanks!

Good job with actually initiating your own search before asking what each of those codes mean. I knew there was hope left on this forum. I'll give you a hint...the code list is a "sticky" in this section.

Thanks, had to do some extra bit of searching to find a few of them, but it looks like I got a few misfiring cylinders....I'm sure it's nothing major, we'll see tomorrow. Thanks!

Great....took it to the dealer this morning after clearing the codes. Its running perfect and because I clear the codes they can't find anything wrong. Ugh. Must have been a crappy install on my part. But its so simple; what could I have possibly screwed up? oh well...

You could have something that is failing on your car. Don't be in a hurry to reinstall. Drive stock for a week or so, put some mileage on the car and see if any problems return. If they do, take straight to the dealer with no worries as it can't possibly be tune related.

I have been wondering, if there is no tuner code stored, why clear the codes? From your list of codes doesn't look like you had one stored. And I was under the impression the JB4 would display hidden codes.

I had a knock sensor go out, I read the codes, took out the JB4, and took it in. They said nothin.

I assumed the tuner code was there and I didn't read our right. I guess I assumed it would always know the tuner was there. I know better now.

Update:

They kept it overnight because they wanted a really cold start in hopes it would their a code. I just got a call that 2 injectors are being replaced along with the corresponding spark plugs.

Thank God they found something, and thank God for a CPO
