Arrow List of I-Drive Voice Commands

I made a list of voice commands, which I've attached, for those of you with iDrive. It's a bit easier to read than having to pull out the Owner's Manual and flipping to the right pages. I hope you find it useful.

Although my voice commands are limited to the Communications by phone, I thank you for the time you spent.

Cheers

Thank you VERY much for this effort!

Here are some more commands:-

"SAT Radio" or "SAT Radio On"

which may be followed by:

"Presets"
"All Channels" or
"Categories"

Also, when in FM mode, you can say:

"Frequency ninety four point five" or similar.

There may be AM equivalents but I have not tried them.

Let's collect some more and then edit these wonderful lists!

Thanks! I've printed myself a copy to try next time I go driving. There have been a lot of posts about people not getting the right actions after commands, etc.

And I've noticed it doesn't seem to recognize cursing or sarcasm

Perfect!!! Was looking for the SAT command but couldn't find it in the manual. Was trying "Satellite" for a while and that was not recognized.

You're all welcome. I'm glad you liked it.

There were a few commands that I purposely left out like for a DVD player, etc.

I decided to put them up in both .doc and .pdf so that if someone wishes to edit the list, they still can.

Many thanks CMD.

My new E91 was delivered on Wednesday and I'm struggling a bit with Voice Command (especially the phone), so this will help.

Ever use the scrollable map mode and wonder how to quickly get back to what you were doing before?

In the scrollable map mode, holding the button up/down/left/right won't take you to communication/entertainment etc, it just scrolls the map.

Here is the trick

Just say “Atlas Off”

And of course you can say “Atlas On” to go to the atlas mode. Try it, you'll like it.

Updated list of voice commands from the revised September manual:
Oh yes, and you can now enter destination addresses with your voice!

Mmmm.... "Enter address" voice command was already present, but when spoken, voice control ended and was necessary enter address by joystick... I think it's the same and nothing new.
