If you plan to provide coding services for friends and family, consider using this Liability Waiver. I drafted it quickly and with haste so you should double check =]

I'd like access to the codes please.
I hope there's a way to activate the auto door lock while driving on my 2005 model. |

Anyone know if using this setup but with a Bavarian Technic cable would work for coding?

I am still reading the original post by xxxjecxxx and he mentions that he purchased this cable HERE for considerably less than the one posted. What is the advantage of getting the ebay cable?

I believe the cable you referenced will NOT work with DCAN vehicles (later models).

Can you erase error codes as a result of a tuning box like the JBD with the usb->OBDII device? I purchased a BT Scan Tool with my JBD but have not needed to use it. I want to return it or sell it only if the Coding tool allows me to clear codes if anything pops up in the future.

Spent most of the morning scrounging up all the ISOs, support material, etc. Figured I'd re-up them as a single package for all those seeking it. You should still grab the spreadsheet and DIYs from the first post.
All required files, reuploaded, with INPA v44 (filesonic). Use WinRAR to extract. There are twenty parts, so I'd recommend a download manager such as jDownloader. Code:
http://www.filesonic.com/folder/9386331 The cable you need is: BMW INPA / Ediabas K+DCAN USB Interface These come with and without pin 8 attached which is a pin that allows ethernet connectivity. Older cars require this pin, newer ones required it to be soldered out. Most ebay cables ship with an adaptor you can plug on to swap between the two compatibilities. |
