BMW rubber/plastics/seals kinda suck in general. At least valve cover gaskets are really easy to change.

That rear diffuser needs to curve around the tips or something. They look wrong just hanging underneath it.

Consequently, performing the BMW Group Fuel Injection & Induction System Cleaning Procedure is not covered under the terms of the BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty or maintenance plan.

Yeah, almost always. It's like $20 and 15 minutes being thorough on an M20. It's also pretty trivial on M52s, M54s, and S54s. Can't imagine N-series engines would be much harder to change a leaking VCG. OTOH, a common problem on your engine seems to be broken bolts, which may make this a pain, depending on how hard it is to extract them.
