pushing n54 to the limit - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

i heard this comment, "there is just so much you could do to the n54 engine" i've been actually thinking and i feel like the n54 has its limits. for example, everyone suggests a piggyback, ar down pipes, afe intake. that being said, driving a 11' 335is, whats it gnna take to keep my n54 different from the others? (did the research, haven't came across something eye popping...yet)

You should probably clarify what you mean by "different"

The limit right now is fueling.
There are a couple of single turbos projects out not yet completed. that would make your N54 pretty special.

You can add nitrous. that would make you very fast for little bucks.
