I Need Angel Eye Advice - which is brightest?

Hey guys and girls, i know its been discussed a billion times, i have searched multiple forums and i have searched google...and youtube...and asked several bmw owners.

BUT, i still dont have an answer to the question i am seeking an answer for.

What is the brightest angel eye option/brand there is? i want it as close to the oem hid bulbs color as possible.

Pictures of said kit on your car would be a great help too.

Thanks in advance!

The Halos actually have a function other than decoration. They serve to direct the eyes away from the center of the headlight beam--thus lessoning the potential of blinding oncoming traffic. So, the brighter and the closer to the light spectrum of the HID headlights the less they work.

I've got LUX H8s. They are pretty comparable to the new E92's AEs. The color is not as white and slightly less bright but unless the two cars were side by side, you wouldn't notice or mind.

I've owned pretty much all the angel eye kits on the market except the OSS LS3 (which are on order)

The bightest LED bulb is the Lux H8 system

The brightest bulb is any HID system (they all use the same bulb)

The OSS and LS3 (LED rings) I haven't tested back to back but they are sufficiently bright and no-one would complain from what I've seen.

As for OSS & LS3 vs HID I would say the HID's have the brightest hot spots, but the OSS & LS3 have the brightest low spots. (meaning OSS is more even, but HID has certain areas that overpower others)

I love my OSS angels. Sexiest angel conversion on the market, hands down. Of course, that is not close to what the OP is looking for, and I understand this. I just wanted to say that

ive also had em all.. (except for OSS). I tried all the LED brands b4 but they didnt do it for me so I went with the Alpine HID kit and its freakin tits. Bright White Light - doesnt throw any codes - digital compact ballasts. And the price for the whole HID kit is just a little more then what you'd pay for a decent LED setup. (but better imo)

+ 1

I was gonna go with LUX which looks nice and everything. But in direct sunlight its still hard to see. With that said I didn't see it worth more money for something less noticeable. That's why I also went with Alpine fair price and looks F@cking awesome. And is very comparable to the LCI set up. Also at the fraction of the price of OSS AEs.

Here's a link of them on my car around 1 in the afternoon: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=473686

I'm convinced with the hid ones. Where do I pick up the alpines? Btw, can any hid kit go on there or are the alpine ones specific?

Also, do the ddm tuning hid fog kits throw errors without the relay kit or extra harness?

I saw your review awhile back but I have to ask, have you tried the m tecs? That's the route I'm looking to go since it's pnp and throughout all the pictures in the angel eye sticky those look the best besides the OSS (don't like the unfinished ring on the OSS, other than that, gorgeous.

If you have tried the m tecs what did you think? Thanks for any help. Sorry not trying to thread jack, just throwing in some more options!

So alex confirmed that his hid sets are not compatible with an 06 330i.

Are there any hid kits that are?
