Question Rear window not working properly

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me, I put down my rear windows this morning fully and when i tried to retract them up they kept making an effort to rise but would almost instantly return into the door card.
For one side i opened the rear door and it went up.
for the other side i resorted to the old fist punch a few times whilst pressing the button and up it went.
I recently got the windows tinted...... would this be a contributing factor??

I imported the car to canada from the US and so would have to travel accross the border again for warrenty work which i would like to avoid...

Thanks in advance for your comments.

If they got glue on the seals or the tint is rediculously thick...yes it could be a culprit.

I had what sounds like the same problem. My right rear window would go up, then just as you think it was up and finished, it would return to the down position. i took it too my guy who does my work and he ran it through and found that there is a Footwell module that needed to be updated/reconfigured. As soon as he did this, problem was gone. Cost me just time for him to hook it up and re-configure it.
hope this helps.

Or trade in and buy a coupe = no rear windows to break
