335i E90 Performance 269

Hi folks,

This week-end we saw proof here in Luxembourg that the winter must not always be snowy, rainy or otherwise unpleasant. Although it was quite cold, it was sunny and the blue sky as well as the nice light gave me the idea to shoot some photos. Actually I haven't made any proper photos of my car with the winter wheels yet (since end of 2009), can you imagine! It also gives me the chance to document how it looks now since the coilover was installed.

The photos were taken in front of the Luxembourg philharmony which is (IMO) an architecturally a very interesting building, that also has an excellent acoustic and was opened in 2005.

Here's also a bit of info on some things you can see on the car (for an extensive list and review of my other mods see the link in my signature):

paint is BMW Individual azurite black
Alpina front and rear spoiler
BMW Performance 269 wheels in 19 inches with Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme winter tires (235mm all around with 10mm spacers in the back)
BMW Performance sideskirts
BMW Performance glossy black grille
Bilstein B16 Ride Control coilover
Bastuck quad performance exhaust

Beautiful e90 lci, even in winter mode. Looks like the wheels are 19x8 all around too?

And nice pics, but pretty big.

They DO look quite big in these photos. Depending on the angle, they're not so huge though. I have to check which size they are, I believe the rear ones are slightly wider though (bought them a year ago so I don't remember exactly).

I know the photos are a bit large, but well they do look best like that. Sorry for the inconvenience with slower bitrates!

Thank you! Lots of work too...more reviews are coming, but I need to make some more photos first of all the parts and that will take a bit more time.

From an Alpina dealer - although I can't tell you whether there is one in Canada. However, you can also call Alpina in Germany directly, there's a department dealing with the exportation of these parts and they can certainly help you out. See here: Alpina contact page (the ones you need would be the last two mentioned on that page)

Me too. I prefer them over the 313 ones, I always was a fan of more spokes (which is why I like the Alpina ones too).

Indeed! I always use Alpina Classic wheels in 19" for the summer. I just bought a new set of their newly designed rims that they have for the B3S Biturbo, B5 and B7 and will combine them with the new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Looking forward to trying them out in summer!

I was looking at these photos, thinking about how your E90 is one of the few that I love....(especially like the 269s which work amazingly on E90, not as much on E92), when I realized that your car is in winter mode and I've drooled over it way back when I first saw it in summer mode with the Alpina wheels. Good stuff man. I think you did a smashing job on this car.

Thank you for your kind words, much appreciated! The new Alpina wheels with the 2010 design will go on the car in March, most probably. More photos then!

Looks great! I've just placed an order for an Alpina front spoiler-lip for my E90 LCI, exactly like yours but will be painted in AW. Just a quick question, how did you attach the lip to your existing bumper? glue or screwed on?

Good choice! The German car magazine sport auto has proven the aerodynamic improvements that the front spoiler causes.

As to your question, it's both actually. It's mainly screwed on, but there is also a bit of glue used on the sides of it. Holds up perfectly and the fitment is spot-on, OEM like.
