Air intakes for the 330?

I've been looking into air intakes for my car and can't find too much. Anybody have suggestions? I'm not too high up on the BMW official one, simply because of the price tag. My car isn't under warranty so that isn't an issue. Is there an aftermarket intake with comparable performance for cheaper (hopefully around $300)? I am a student and on a budget! Thanks for any responses.

I have an Injen intake in my 330. Can't say it did much for HP gains as I don't notice much of a difference, but the sound is pretty good.

I put the euro intake on my 330xi with a K&N filter. Not sure how much difference it made, but I like to believe that it's 'better'.

If nothing else I can change the filter without having to take the whole thing out. Worth it for that alone AFAIC.

Intakes don't do much for the inline 6. Spend your money on an AA tune, you'll be much happier.

There aren't that many gains on the 330i with an AA tune either.

Power band shift and higher redline, but no night-and-day differences like the 325 and 328.

I'd say go Euro with a Pipercross filter.

I have a Simota CB2 picked it up brand new for $200. Lets be real here, we all know the hopes of getting the tiny performance gains we do. I got it for the sound since my car is my DD and I dont track it. It sounds great esp paired with my exhaust and pbx.

Hope this helps, as I was in your shoes as well. Best of luck.

dude buy a AA tune and do some exhaust work if your looking for a little more power.

the best thing for HP/$ is going to be a k/n filter and getting rid of the charcol filter intake wise.

if you got money to burn by a euro intake from ECS.
