Should I?

My 1 year warranty date is the end of May when I assume the dealer will provide me with a free oil change. My car has 15,300kms and the oil was changed at 6000kms at my cost.

I was planning on changing every 10, 000kms which puts me at 16k sometime in February.

This would mean I would have another oil change 3 month later.

The question, should I simply wait until May? I will likely have about 13000kms by then on this oil.

It'll be fine if you wait. I change my oil every 7500 miles which is ~12,000 kms.

btw will Budds in Oakville do the annual free change? have heard some dealers abide by it and others insist they will not complete a free change until the OBC tells you.

I agree with fisherbin. Unless you beat the crap out of your car, you are OK with 10,000 mile (16,000 km) changes. Assuming you are using OEM BMW oil, changing at 13,000 km is fine.
