that's what I love about Germany. Drive as fast as you like on the ABUAN. Of course you have to be aware of others.
Hell I was passed by an old lady driving a hyundia while driving my golf, but that would never happen in the 335. |

Could you very carefully take a picture of the speedo with your camera phone and post it? That may be the only time most of us would ever see a speedo with the needle over that far...

That either takes some very large balls or an equal amount of stupidity to mess with the DTC when you are driving at those speeds! You would never catch me doing that, but regardless i'm not too sure how much i'm buying into this.

Your s2k doesn't have stability control. I don't see the importance of having DSC when driving in a straight line on a flat road. Don't get me wrong I think it's an excellent safety tool, but driving at high speed, all things being equal, doesn't automatically require electronic nannies.

I wouldn't doubt it. In Canada our cars are limited to 130 mph or 210 km/hr. On the track my car appears to cut out at around 210 with DTC on but with the DTC and ABS fully off on the dyno it went well beyond 210 km/hr i was told.

(usually) your engine wont have that much power to cause your car to get upset at those speeds, and even if it does, it'd be usually too late for any electronics to save your ass. Also, I've driven an audi b5s4 at 270kmh, no lights blinking stage 3+ b6 a4 , no warnings ridden in an evo,no lights blinking (JUST MY OPINION THOUGH!!) |

Sounds like it. Crazy flaw...I'll test it out once I break in the car....on the autobahn...when it's clear and weather conditions permitting.

ummh if this is true I'm going to have to test it out myself!! I've already done the limiter here in the States!! the car is unbelievably stable and I drive with DSC + DTC quite a number of times. If the tarmac is not slippery and it's not raining I don't see why you can't drive with both nannies off.

If you want to see the needle past 260, just turn the dashboard test on. I took a pic with my phone and I love people's reaction when I show it to them

Most interesting. Now a 335 w/ PROcede, proper tires, & coilovers could really surprise a few Porsches on the autobahns. I wonder if there is a dif btw Euro and USA versions. To clarify, the limiter is off with DTC? Or does DTC have to off as well as DSC?

Is this true? No... seriously? I dont think so, because shiv had problems dyno'ing non ZSP 335's because of the 130mph top speed limiter kicking in before 4th gear run ended... and they have to fully disable DTC for a dyno run on a steptronic

It might work on the ZSP because the tires are rated for a higher speed than the limiter, whereas without it you are stuck with VRs and hence must limit to 130mph.
