I will give it my best shot, but some of the online gray-marketers may beat my price. The most reputable place to buy one of those online is Crutchfield or JL Audio's store. Neither is cheap. Wonder why that is?

I will start off my service by saying, that's not the amp you want. You would be far, far better off with a xd600/1. It's more efficient power-consumption-wise, it's small enough to fit in tiny places, it's lower cost, and it's newer technology.

Shoot me an email off the website. We do have enclosure packages but the W6 won't fit in the corner.

Thanks, ct.

Listen to the feedback of somebody that is a very knowledgable person in this area and follow it.

I run a XD600/6 for my front, rear and under the seat subs and I`m upgrading my RF amp to an XD600/1. The XD600/1 is only 7"x8" inches and it fits perfectly on the LHS compartment in your trunk. I have not seen a more reliable, efficient and powerful amp to date. I could not believe how much it can push and how small it really is.

With the 500/1 you`ll also be under-powering your subs.

I could, but I have a feeling you're not gonna buy it from me anyway ~

We will talk about some fictional 100W amplifiers.

Most amplifiers rated for 100 watts into a 4-ohm speaker will put out more power into a 2-ohm speaker. Maybe it's 150W, maybe it's 200W, but it's more. They then need enough heat sink, power supply, etc., to support that greater amount of power and heat.

The "slash" series has a "smart" power supply which adjusts the internal power supply voltage. Our fictional 100 watt amp makes 100W into 4 ohms, or 2 ohms. Because of this, the heat doesn't increase, the heat requirements don't increase.

With Class AB amps, the two most expensive parts of the total price are:

1) The heat-sink extrusion

2) The cost of shipping the heat sink extrusion to and fro, pre and post-assembly.

So the "slash" amps function well. They are profitable for JL, but not neccesarily a great deal for you.

The XD series is Class D. While there are some folks who defend Class AB as sounding better, and I am one of them, the difference is not in the bass region, and the Class D amps today sound very good compared to their predecessors.

Class D amps don't need as much heat dissipation, since they are almost 2X as efficient as Class AB. This is a big deal for bass amps.

Also, the old bass-EQ bass-control in the "slash" amps has been replaced in HD and XD amps with a real bass level control. Woofer level is better than bass EQ boosting.

I have a demanding friend who runs a 13TW5 with an XD600/1. When he got it (he got it from me), he called me and said, there must be some mistake, you sent the wrong amp. He LOVES it now that he hooked it all up.
