When you first put it in your garage and 1k miles ago in my opinion. But everyone is going to have different advice.

1. Please read your warranty/service and owner's manuals so you'll know about Condition Based Servicing.

2. In the owner's manual see "Service Requirements" and then access the miles/time to services from your iDrive or dash computer.

3. Your CPO paperwork should have included a service history.

BMW's oil change interval is variable (condition based) starting at about 15,000 miles and going up or down according to driving habits - or one year whichever comes first. These services are free for the first 4 years/50,000 miles, although many of us prefer to also pay for an "interim" change at around 7,500 miles.

^ What he said. Also, the on board computer can tell you when you're "due" (according to BMW's recommended intervals, which not everyone agrees with). If you have i-Drive, go into the menu with service items. If you don't, read your manual to figure out how to use the turn signal stalk to navigate to it using the little display underneath the speedometer, where the car's mileage is. In fact, just go read the manual period.

Just take it to Jiffy Lube; they'll know what to do with your BMW. You'll be fine. Then find a convenient mechanic (close to your home) that works on any brand of car for other service items as they crop up.
