Vishnu Large and in Charge(pipe)

Tried my hand at fabrication today and built a fairly rough prototype charge pipe for our upcoming methanol injection kit. Not exactly rocket science but we settled on a big 3.25 inch aluminum thick walled tubing from the elbow all the way to the throttle body which is of the same diameter. This is to reduce the velocity of the air charge which gives more time for the methanol to atomize. We also went for the most gradual bend as possible, utilizing as much the available real-estate as possible. Under the charge pipe (not shown) is a bug for the Meth pump pressure switch. On the top are two jet adapters for the Aquamist jets. Our fabricator will be making 30 more this week. Including versions for the N55 which is identical minus the bypass valve flanges.

Show top to bottom:
-Stock charge pipe with meth elbow
-My old Riss Racing charge pipe (with some ahem... modifications)
-Prototype Vishnu Large-and-in-Chargepipe with methanol mods

Also in the process of getting the methanol kit brackets manufactured. Here is the bracket which holds the pump to the frame rail:

Should have final production pics of the Meth kit + Charge pipe later this week.

Cheers
shiv

Looks good! Are you planning on adding the bolt-on bracket so it doesn't "blow off"?

lol.. it won't blow off. When installed, it's lodged in there securely. I've even loosened up the clamps to something that I would consider 'too loose' and it still won't pop off.

Also, that mount that used to hold the charge pipe bracket will not be holding the methanol injector. Perfect location since the nozzles are only a few inches away which minimizes volume between the injector and the nozzles. Fast response!

Would you have flange options for other BOVs? Luckily, I haven't bought the chargepipe for my Synapse yet...

someone needs to make an aluminum version of the intake manifold so I can run 6 injectors of my liking and eliminate what many think happen, cyl 6 meth starvation...on top of that I wouldn't have to worry about the plastic intake manifold cracking over time with higher boost pressures

Been to ER - seen the prototype manifold - Fred just doesn't want to release something less than perfect. Wish all vendors could have his stance.

I like the boost source in the charge pipe, it will let manual meth users spray through the shift. I might have to pick this up from you if you make a Tial 50 flange for it.

That's going to cannibalize other vendors' charge pipe sales for sure!

Great looking product.

In for price and eta
