scrape with H&R sport springs?

i was thinking about getting the H&R sport springs, not the racing springs but the sport ones. i was wondering if any of you guys ever scrape the bottom of your front bumper? like coming out of shopping centers and stuff. if so, do you think this will happen with eibach springs? i know they dont lower as much but i dont think the H&R's are that much lower that one would scrape and the other wouldn't? thanks

I scrape with the ZSP suspension in a fair amount of driveways (with the mtech lip).
I guess it depends on where you live.

does the mtech lip make the front lower? because the whole reason i asked the question was today i saw a 335is and it has the mtech bumper and he drove up a hill and scraped his bumper.

The aero lip does sit lower than the factory bumper, not by much but it is lower.

He's right... you just have to know how to drive a low car. It's inevitable that you'll scrape with any low car, but scraping is not that bad. Slamming into stuff is worse. I hit roadkill with my previous car which was dropped on coilovers, and it destroyed my lip... same goes with hitting ice chunks. Scraping driveways doesn't do much damage at all compared to that stuff.

After all is said and done, do you want to regret not going lower or do you want to be cautious with inclines? You have to make sacrifices to look good!

i do not have an e92 so i dont know if that is different, but i do have sportlines with a stock bumper and on my e90 i do not scrape anywhere i didnt on the sport suspension. but the sportlines did not drop the car as much as i would have liked, in fact my car looks like a pro kit drop.

This is exactly why I'm going to get coilovers, because there's inconsistencies with spring drops. I've seen sportline drops that look pretty low and some that do not... same thing with H&R. Too much inconsistency for me... and Eibach coilovers (supposedly the most comfortable of all the coilovers) only cost $100 more than springs and shocks.

well i paid just under $1k for the sport plus kit which includes sway bars, if you can get coils for $600 i would jump on it, especially a reputable name brand.

Eibach Pro Street S are around $850-900. I was looking at H&R Touring Kit and Eibach Sport System, but each one is around $700-750, so it seems that coilovers would be the way to go. I probably will never adjust again once I get it adjusted to the perfect drop, but just knowing that I can adjust height is a plus.

i do regret not getting coils but only when i look at the car not when i drive it. i wanted my cake and eat it too. for the price of a good set of coils i got springs, dampers, sway bars, strut brace, m subframe bushings, and m tension strut bushings. the eibach sport system is $600 at tire rack, i have bought wheels, tires, brakes, and a suspension from them in the past year, they are by far the best in the business.

I had H&R RACE springs on my 335 with an M-tech bumper but with no lip. and I never touched the bumper, although sometimes on the speed bumps my exhaust would rub. imo you should be fine with the sports and a lip. just be aware of
the road.

I like where the Race springs sit, but Sports are more popular.

H&R Race = HOT! Pretty dumped, but still daily driveable without a lip it seems like. I have a Hartge lip, so Idk that I'd wanna be that low, but it looks nice!! Considering selling my Hartge lip to sit lower, but then I may rub all over the place.
