Valentine's Day DIC (2-14 beta maps)

Hi guys,
Finished up some new DIC maps yesterday much to the dismay of the little lady. I'll send an email out tonight to the beta folks with the new firmware and map(s).

What's new:

1) Procede integrated traction control. Now when the factory traction control intervenes super aggressively (ie, WOT first gear, on ice/snow while BMW TC it is fully enabled), the Procede will drop the boost target until traction some traction is restored. This means that the Procede will not "fight" against the factory traction control system. This is not related to the Procede's ignition timing based TC/LC which is something else altogether (and still disabled for now).

2) Fixed the 'beep beep' immediately upon start-up that some users were experiencing. No longer will it sound like you have the Road Runner trapped behind your dashboard.

3) Now you can temporarily revert back to stock gas level/oil temp gauge display mode by simply requesting a current map display (cruise control stalk bumped up). While the current map # is being displayed on the tach (for the usual 1.5 seconds), the fuel level and oil temp gauges will momentarily revert to stock display. Before this, you would have to toggle through the gauge display options to see the original display options. So this is very convenient.

4) Fixed a bug that only couple users reported where they would hear the wastegates move around at idle from time to time. This would only happen under specific conditions that most people would never experience. But we found the conditions and solved the issue.

5) And because we found a local z4 3.5is for testing, we now we have beta maps available for 7DCT cars as well as all "is" version n54s (335is, z4 3.5is, etc,.)

Expect a mass email tonight!

Cheers

Shiv -

Most excellent!

And now that you've mastered the "is" version, the ever-so-slightly tweaked version in the 1 Series M Coupe should be a peice of cake! AFAIK, it differs only in that it has a M-button that triggers a more aggressive (i.e., less linear) map for the throttle response.

I've also been told that the 1M has a newer version of the Siemens DME (MSD85?) which may be shared with the N54 "is" models.

i think when bumping the cruise control stalk it would nice to see autotune boost and IC settings.

Also being able to run boost and IAT at the same time would be nice.

Shiv,

I got an email today that my V5 was shipped out. Does my unit have the DIC maps and TC already loaded?

TIA

lol.. i have no idea what your real name is. I'm guessing we didn't ship it to "quattrosaint"

Shoot sales@vishnutuning.com an email or give us a call and talk to Robert. He can tell you what was loaded in your Procede.

Cheers,
shiv

Yep... something like 10 Torx bolts. Definitely more secured. But then again, it has no engine cowl to remove. So install time is about the same.
