JL10w7 in an E92?

I just ran across a good deal for a JL10w7 with a JL 00/1 amp and I jumped on it. Ive been wanting to add some base to my car but I'm wondering if this will be overkill? Or can I turn it down to where it won't overpower my stock speakers? I have the logic7 system and I plan to buy the plug and play harness from technic.

Also - for you audiophiles out there. Any direction on where I can find the optimal settings for this amp+sub?

Thanks.

The sub will sound fine with the L7 system. When I added my sub, I thought it rounded out the system.

The ideal way to run the sub would be to low pass it around 60Hz and bandpassing the underseats. This would need another amp though. I have my stock L7 woofers amped and band passed between 60-200Hz and it sounds pretty good.

I used to have a 10W7 in a sealed enclosure and I did not like it at all. It sounded kind of "muddy" to me. But other people love them so who knows...

Play with the amp low-pass crossover and gain to see what sounds best to you. I would start at 80Hz and work myself down from there.
