E90 Business NAV - CD Changer problem?

Hi All,

I have a wierd problem I Just found out.

I burnt a CD Today - poped it into my 6 stacker CD changer which has been playing MP3 CD's for the last 3 months.

Jumped in the car and it went to AUX - when i tried to load the CD staker it was trying to read the CD and just wouldnt show the 6 CD's in I drive.

So took out the magazine and later poped it back in only with 1 CD. It worked. Poped it in with the second CD i burnt and it had the same Issue.

Can any one confirm that if the CD Changer has (1) bad CD it will not be able to load all the other CD's? If this is the case then it would make sense.

The other issue is I have been having a problem for a while when i get into the car I a "error reading CD" From another post some one mentioned this was a common problem with the CD player inside the car and there is a BMW service article to fix it.

But what I realised is that when I took out the CD CHanger magazine this error stoped. Could it be that my CD Changer is slowly dieing? Cant read the CD's

Just looking to see if any one has experienced any of these issues?

I will probably go home and burn a new CD at slow speed and pop them into the changer to see what happends.

Any help would be apprecaited - this is on a 325i 390 Pre LCI / I Drive / Bus Nav / 6 Stacker CD Player

Appreciate 0
