FINALLY...got an E9x - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I've been on this forum for years as I waited to get a suitable replacement for my E46. Old silver has been a great car and, with 186k, still runs a well as she ever did. But...I travel a fair amount and 25k/year will take its toll, I'm sure. Gonna keep her in the stable tho. Kelly Blue Book value made me cry.

I thought all of this time I was going to get a 335 coupe. Have tons of pics of all of your cars and lots of mod plans stored away. People who see all of the car files in my laptop get very worried.

But then...I drove a vert. All I could think was "Must have this car." I was all about getting a 335 until I started hearing about all of the engine issues. My friend and mechanic flat-out advised against my getting one at this time. (Maybe the 335d in a coupe will be available in the USA by the next car.)

So...I found this '08 328i with only 5,600 miles at a dealership 5 hours away - kept by a non-smoking middle-aged woman "as a toy". Except for one door ding (visible in the pics), it's immaculate...and loaded.

Let the modding begin*!

(*Future mods: BMW Performance suspension, gloss black trim, Alufelgen SF-71s, aero lip, M Sport rear with iS diffusor, and custom interior...to start. Stay tuned)

Thanks guys. Some of you have probably been wondering why an E46 Fanatic spends so much time on this forum. Well...been planning this for a long time. All of your great cars have played a role in this decision.

Yeah...the 335 is a beast and I loved every minute of test driving them. But with my driving habits, I was afraid I'd hurt myself. My E46 was titanium but my right foot is made of lead. I figured I'd need a bigger glove box to hold all of the tickets.

So...I opted for the 328 - fast enough to get me in trouble but not a life threat.

And, there 's something about driving the convertible that makes ya just wanna lay back and enjoy the day, anyway. Plus, there are a few things you can do to the 328 to beef it up.

Looking forward to the mods I have planned...a few unique things in store that I can't wait to share.
