Mixing Different Synthetic Oils

Hey Guys,

Is it harmful to use different synthetics inbetween the scheduled oil changes? I have 8 quarts of Amsiol 5-W30 that I was planning to use for my 1,200 mile break-in change. I know that BMW useses there own oil. I was told that you shouldn't switch synthetic brands.

I've been mixing, matching, and adding different types of oils for the longest time.....
and I don't remember having any problems.

But then again....I've never done it with a BMW.

Rason I'm asking is I bught a case of the amsoil stuff for my 2005 TSX, but now that that's gone I have 7 quarts left. So I'm wondering if it's harmful to use te amsoil for my first oil change before lettibg bmw take over with the scheduled change.

Is the Amsoil....BMW LL01 approved.....if it is...then it should be okay.

It's higher grade than Mobil, but I don't think BMW has looked at it.
