Merc Benz world any good for a family visit?

As the title suggests, I'm down South at the weekend and could visit quite easily. But is there much for the wife and two kids?

Legoland cost me a fortune last year, kids were more interested in watching the planes, most of the rides were crap

Dump the family at Legoland. You can spend your day at MB World and Brooklands.

Have done both with family. My boy loved jumping in and out of new Mercs. Also loved jumping in and out of old planes and cars at Brooklands.

Hounslow brings back memories.

Went to the REM gig at Twickenham a few years ago and they run buses to get everyone out.

Got taken back to Hounslow and must say I thought I was in a different world when I got off the bus.

Made to feel totally unwelcome and rather unsafe.

If your kids like cars then they should be happy at MB world.

Not quite.

Got off the bus to see lots of Shinny Happy People. I said to her to Try not to breath or I'd end up a Man-sized wreath.

It really was The Great Beyond.

Thorpe Park or Chessington world of adventures are worth a visit depending how old the kids are.

Lots of 2 for 1 offers in the newspapers at the moment

No idea, sorry.

But, Thorpe Park if your kids are 10+, Chessington if they're not.....both a squillion miles better than Legoland. Thorpe Park especially has some fantastic thrill rides, as long as you are 1.4 metres plus.

Mike.
